Welcome Back-to-School, Fremont Explorers!

As we prepare for the 2024-2025 school year, I would like to personally welcome you to John C. Fremont Elementary School.  Fremont is a preschool - 6th grade elementary school.  During the summer we reconfigured our facility and clustered grade levels together for increased collaboration.   John C. Fremont is a neighborhood school in which most of the students live within walking distance of the school.  We are proud of the students and staff and value everyone.  

We have a strong, experienced, and highly qualified teaching staff who have implemented the Common Core State Standards coupled with best teaching practices to engage students in thought-provoking lessons utilizing HOQ (Higher order Questions), DOK (Depth of Knowledge), and Academic Discourse.  Fremont is a Professional Learning Community in which students and adults are learning and striving to be the best we can be.

We are excited about the upcoming school year. We have seen steady growth not only in academics but also in attendance.  We have also been able to reduce discipline issues utilizing the district-adopted positive behavior interventions and supports (PBIS) system.  We have been able to increase the number of after-school offerings that allow the students to achieve additional enrichment opportunities.  A few of our goals this school year are to increase student achievement by double digits, accelerate English Learners, increase student attendance daily, and build even stronger relationships with parents and the community.  The utilization of a targeted focus on vocabulary will be very evident at the school site.
