Greetings,

It is with great enthusiasm that I introduce myself as the new Principal of Sheehy Elementary. I am honored to join the Sheehy School community. I bring a diverse background to this role. I have had the privilege of serving as a teacher, counselor, associate principal, and principal, each role providing me with unique insights into the educational journey of our students. My professional path has equipped me with a deep understanding of the academic, social, and emotional needs of students.

It brings me great joy to serve in this role and be a part of your child's educational journey. At Sheehy Elementary, our motto is ROAR: Respect, Ownership, Achievement, Rise.  These core values serve as the guiding principles for everything we do here. They are not merely words but a way of life that we strive to instill in each of our students.

Our dedicated faculty and staff are committed to providing students with a supportive and nurturing learning environment where students can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. We vow to work hard to provide the opportunity for all students to reach their full potential and we will continue to establish strong relationships with parents, students, staff, and community partners. Our school goals continue to center around maximizing student achievement while providing a safe and positive learning environment.  We will make it a priority to educate our students to communicate effectively, think critically, and to work together collaboratively.

Several improvements have been made to Sheehy Elementary. We have a brand new main office and a brand new kindergarten playground, enriching the experience of our students. As students step into our hallways, they will encounter a diverse community of students and staff who come from various backgrounds, cultures, and experiences.  We ask students to embrace this diversity and embrace the opportunity to learn from one another, to celebrate our differences, and to foster an environment of respect, understanding, and inclusion.

Education is a partnership between the school, students, and parents. We value open communication and collaboration, so please feel free to reach out to myself, teachers, counselors, or any member of the staff if you have any questions, concerns, or ideas.

If you have any questions, please call the main office at 209-385-6676.  The staff is here to assist you in any way possible.

Once again, welcome to Sheehy Elementary School! We are delighted to have you as part of our school community, and we look forward to an incredible year filled with learning, growth, and success.

Sincerely,

Daniel Perez
